Being Married means...

I was complaining to DH that my feet were cold (a chronic thing with me...poor circulation).  This was after we had gotten in bed:

Me: My feet are cold. (seek out warmth) Hey, you're wearing socks in bed!

DH: 18 years of marriage, and this still surprises you?

Me: Yeah--I still think it's weird.

DH: Hmmm, I am wearing socks in bed, and my feet are warm.  You are not wearing socks in bed, and your feet are cold.  What does that tell you?
Me: That tells me that you need to take your socks off and warm up my feet!

He did.  And that folks, is why we are still married after 18 years!

  1. As long as it's just my feet you're using as footwarmers, we're doing fine. Just keep those icicles down below the knees, thank you very much!!

  3. He sounds a lot like mine. (Only he'd never wear socks to bed because he's always hotter than hell.)

  4. Aww, that's cute! I was just going to say, you know what'll warm up your tootsies faster? Stick a foot under each armpit. Then you'll warm up as DH chases you around the room in fury. Totally non-autobiographical. I swear. Kinda.
